If there's one thing I hear from almost every couple, it's that they don't want their wedding day to feel like one long photoshoot. I couldn't agree more. Your wedding is about celebrating with the people you love, sharing unforgettable moments and creating memories you'll treasure forever. My job is simply to capture all of that as naturally as it happens.

I'm Peter, the photographer behind Roses & Light Photography, and I specialise in relaxed, natural wedding photography across Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and the surrounding counties. My approach is documentary in style, which means I spend much of the day quietly blending into the background, photographing genuine smiles, happy tears, laughter and all those little moments you may not even realise are happening. Rather than constantly directing your day, I let it unfold naturally so your photographs tell the real story of your wedding.
Of course, there will still be time for those beautiful photographs of the two of you, but don't worry if you're not comfortable in front of the camera. Most of the couples I photograph tell me exactly the same thing! I'll gently guide you without awkward poses or making you feel self-conscious, helping you relax so your personalities shine through. The result is natural, authentic photographs that look and feel like you.
Based in East Anglia, I regularly photograph weddings throughout Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and Hertfordshire. Whether you're planning an elegant country house wedding, a rustic barn celebration or a relaxed garden ceremony, I love discovering what makes each wedding unique. Every venue, every couple and every celebration has its own story, and that's exactly what I aim to capture.

Experience has taught me when to quietly step back and let moments happen, when to offer a little reassurance if nerves start to creep in, and when to be ready for those unexpected moments that often become favourite photographs.
